 mmer of 2016.&nbsp\; Any student enrolled in a PhD or MA program at Syracu
 se University may apply.The awards can be used to undergo advanced languag
 e training\, gather data and increase competiveness of future proposals fo
 r funding. The awards are competitive\, and proposals will be evaluated on
  the basis of (i) originality and significance of the proposed research/st
 udy\, (ii) organization and clarity of the proposal\, (iii) appropriatenes
 s and feasibility of the research/study plan in relation to the student's 
 background and qualifications\, and (iv) cost effectivenessYou may apply f
 or more than one summer grant from the Moynihan Institute\, but you will n
 ot receive more than one in a given year.&nbsp\; Other types of support th
 at could exclude you from receiving a summer research grant include summer
  FLAS funding\, summer de Sardon-Glass support\, and other types of summer
  support from the Moynihan Institute.&nbsp\; Awards are ranked separately\
 , so if your proposal is accepted by more than one committee\, you will be
