 Attention Syracuse Undergraduate &amp\;amp\; Graduate Students In the 2015
 -16 academic year\, the Middle Eastern Studies Program at Syracuse Univers
 ity will hold its annual essay contest for undergraduate and graduate stud
 ents.The MES Young Scholar Prize will be awarded to the best two essays de
 aling with any aspect of the Middle East written by one undergraduate and 
 one graduate student enrolled at Syracuse University. The authors of the w
 inning papers will be presented with an award of $500 and a certificate.Th
 e entries\, which can originate as course papers\, will be evaluated by a 
 faculty committee on the basis of originality of research and conceptualiz
 ation\, cogency of argument and clarity of writing. Essays must be no fewe
 r than 5\,000 and no more than 7\,500 words in length (including bibliogra
 phy)\, double-spaced and must have been produced between May 1\, 2015\, an
 d April 1\, 2016. Essays can be nominated by faculty or by students (with 
 a letter of support from a faculty member). Please send 2 copies to the ME
