  development NGO. Mr. Gomez was the Plan Country Director in Guatemala fro
 m 2004 through 2009. Before that\, he was Plan’s Regional Director for Cen
 tral America\, as well as Country Director in Sri Lanka and Colombia\, his
  home country. He transitioned to a transnational NGO career after having 
 worked in the private sector for Exxon Mobile in Colombia.&nbsp\;
