 s on\nthe future of NGO advocacy and campaigning by providing an overview 
 of current\ntrends from the perspective of one global advocacy NGO – Oxfam
 . It will also\ndiscuss the implications of these trends for students inte
 rested in entering\nthe NGO field. \n\n\n\nUwe\nGneiting graduated from th
 e Maxwell School with an MAIR degree in 2009. He is\ncurrently the Researc
 h and Evaluation Advisor for Oxfam America’s Private\nSector Department. A
  political scientist by training\, he holds a PhD from the Freie Universit
 ät of\nBerlin\, Germany. His research interests focus on NGO advocacy and 
 its\neffectiveness\, particularly around corporate accountability issues. 
 During his\ntime at Maxwell\, Uwe was involved with Plan International in 
 their evaluation\nof Rights Based Approaches\, in collaboration with the T
 NGO Initiative.&nbsp\;Event\nmade possible by a generous gift from\nMPA ‘9
