  Kylie Quave is an Assistant\nProfessor of Writing and of Anthropology. As
  an anthropological archaeologist\,\nshe reconstructs household-level resp
 onses to imperialism and colonialism in\nthe South American Andes (ca. 100
 0-1800 CE). She directs archaeological\nexcavations\, studies material cul
 ture using visual and archaeometric methods\,\nand conducts ethnohistorica
 l research in Peruvian archives. She teaches science\nwriting in the Unive
