 r is the Advocacy Director of the Children’s Rights Division at Human Righ
 ts Watch. She is responsible for the organization's global advocacy strate
 gy on issues including child labor\, children and armed conflict\, juvenil
 e justice\, and violence against children. She is the founding chairperson
  of the international Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers\, which 
 campaigned successfully for an international treaty banning the forced rec
 ruitment of children under age eighteen or their use in armed conflict. Sh
 e holds a master's degree in political science from the Maxwell School at 
 Syracuse University. Becker is an adjunct associate professor of internati
