DESCRIPTION:Costas Arkolakis is a Professor of Economics at Yale University
  and an NBER Research Associate. He received his undergraduate degree from
  Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Economics\, and his Master and Ph
 D in Economics from the University of Minnesota. He joined the department 
 of Economics at Yale University at 2007 and became an Associate Professor 
 in 2013. He has been awarded two National Science Foundation grants includ
 ing an NSF CAREER grant and published in a variety of journals (including 
 the Journal of Political Economy\, American Economic Review\, Quarterly Jo
 urnal of Economics). He is a co-editor of Economic Theory and the Journal 
 of International Economics. His research and teaching specializes in gener
