 ate Student Summer Research Grants&nbsp\;The South Asia Center announces t
 he competition for the Bharati Memorial Award for the summer of 2015 (or A
 Y 2015-16) for grants leading to doctoral dissertation research. Students 
 in PhD programs in the Maxwell School are preferred. Students in other pro
 grams may apply\, and we will fund if other funding becomes available. We 
 are especially interested in supporting pre-dissertation research\, althou
 gh short-term dissertation research can be supported. We anticipate awardi
 ng 1-5 grants for 2015. Only projects concerning South Asia are eligible.&
 nbsp\;Previous recipients of this or other grants awarded through the Moyn
 ihan Institute of Global Affairs are eligible\, but not top priority.Grant
 s will range from $500 to a maximum of $1500.You may apply for more than o
 ne summer grant from the Moynihan Institute\, but you will not receive mor
 e than one in a given year.&nbsp\;Other types of support that could exclud
 e you from receiving a summer research grant include summer FLAS\, summer
