Our students in Washington, D.C., benefit from a distinguished group of practitioners and scholars with deep expertise in the D.C. policy arena and in topical issues of national and international concern.

Classes are taught by both faculty based in Syracuse, N.Y, and those full-time in Washington, D.C., creating a rich mix of perspectives and insight.

Bio

Michael Shurkin is director of Global Programs at 14 North Strategies and the founder and president of Shurbros Global Strategies. Previously he served as a CIA political analyst and was a senior political scientist at RAND Corporation. He has a Ph.D. in history from Yale University and also studied at Stanford University and the Ecole des Hautes Études en Science Sociales in Paris, France.
