Public Events at Maxwell

Attend a public event, in person or virtually, and get a taste of what Maxwell School has to offer. With hundreds events each year—including prominent public speakers, lectures, workshops, foreign language conversation tables, research presentations and more—there are so many ways to engage in the intellectual and social life on campus.

Ivan Zhivkov: CACI-SU Alumni Talk Series

Mr. Ivan Zhivkov—the first guest speaker of the CACI-SU Alumni Talk Series—is a foreign service officer of the U.S. Department of State and is currently serving as vice consul at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, since 2021.

Mr. Zhivkov is an alumnus of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School (('15 B.A., cum laude; '16 M.A. (IR)).  During his education at SU, he played a key role in the Model UN team at the Maxwell School, which was recognized with awards for Distinguished Delegation (2013) and Outstanding Delegation (2014). 

Mr. Zhivkov and SU alumni from Uzbekistan have connected thanks to Maxwell School efforts in Tashkent during the summer of 2022, continuing the SU alumni engagement tradition.
