Jason Yaley is assistant vice president for communications at the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA)--a trade association representing aerospace and defense manufacturers and suppliers in the United States. In his role with AIA, he manages the organization's communications and advocacy efforts, including all internal and external communications, integrated communication planning, strategic research, media relations, and digital communications.
Previously, Yaley served as strategy and policy advisor to the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. As a member of the Vice Chairman’s personal staff, Mr. Yaley was responsible for managing the strategic communication efforts of the Office of the Vice Chairman, including policy and messaging integration, strategic engagements, and speech writing.
Mr. Yaley holds an MPA and Certificate of Advanced Study in Security Studies, which he earned in 2006 from the Maxwell School, along with Bachelors Degrees in International Relations and Political Science, also from Maxwell. He has completed additional study in crisis leadership, information warfare, and public affairs and is currently a Member of the Emerging Leaders Program at National Defense University’s Center for the Study of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
