Ellis, Meredith (Ph.D. student, archaeology) was awarded the Gordon Bowles Essay Prize for an outstanding paper with an Anthropological Focus: "The Children of Spring Street: Life and Rickets in a Nineteenth Century Congregation".

Ettenger, Kreg (Ph.D. 2004, cultural anthropology) is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Southern Maine, Gorham, ME.

Gibson, Heather (Ph.D. 2007, archaeology) is a tenure track Assistant Professor of Anthropology, School of World Studies, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia beginning in August 2008. She was also awarded the 2008 Maxwell Schools Doctoral Prize for Outstanding Dissertation.  Her dissertation was titled "Daily Practice and Domestic Economies in Guadeloupe: An Archaeological and Historical Study".

Gijanto, Liza (Ph.D. 2010, archaeology) has accepted a tenure track, assistant professor appointment in the Department of Anthropology at the St. Mary’s College Maryland.  Liza defended her dissertation, titled “Change and the Era of the Atlantic Trade: Commerce and Interaction in the Niumi Commercial Center (The Gambia)”, in May 2010 supervised by Chris DeCorse. Her dissertation was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Dissertation Prize by the Society for Historical Archaeology.  Prior to her tenure track appointment, Liza had been on the St. Mary’s faculty in full time, non-tenure track position. 

Harasta, Jesse (Ph.D. candidate, cultural anthropology) was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award by the Graduate School at Syracuse University.

Keles, Fethi (Ph.D. candidate, cultural anthropology) Visiting Instructor in the Division of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Cazenovia College.  Fethi is a columnist writing on refuee matters for Anthropology News

Knight, Lisa (Ph.D. 2005, cultural anthropology) is an Assistant Professor at Furman University, Greenville, SC.

Kruczek-Aaron, Hadley (Ph.D. 2007, archaeology) is a tenure track Assistant Professor of Anthropology at SUNY Potsdam, Potsdam, NY. She was also awarded the 2008 Maxwell Schools Doctoral Prize for Outstanding Dissertation.  Her dissertation was titled Struggling with Moral Authority: Religion, Reform and Everyday Life in Nineteenth-Century Smithfield, New York.

Lampe, Frederick (Ph.D. 2006, cultural anthropology) is an Assistant Professor of Community Development & Witness and the Director of the Master of Arts program in Theology, Development and Evangelism at the Wartburg Theological Seminary in Debuque, IA.
