Syracuse University has recently signed a contract to become an affiliate of the New York Research Data Center (NYRDC) headquartered at Baruch College and Cornell University. This affiliation is co-sponsored by the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and the Whitman School of Management. The NYRDC provides researchers at affiliate universities the opportunity to access selected Census, NCHS, and AHRQ confidential microdata in a physically secure facility. To date, there are 16 Census Research Data sites across the country, and this agreement will allow Syracuse faculty and graduate students to complete research on the frontiers of science. The Center for Policy Research in the Maxwell School will serve as the liaison between Syracuse University researchers and the NYRDC. Syracuse University researchers will use the facility at the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER) to access this data.
