Dr. Il Hwan Chung’s (PA) dissertation, "Education
Finance Reform, School Choice, and Residential Sorting," has been selected to
receive the 2013 NASPAA Annual Dissertation Award. The award along with a prize
of $500 will be presented to him at the NASPAA Conference at the L’Enfant Hotel
in Washington DC on October 10, 2013. Congrats to our CPR grad alumni for
the accolades of this fine research.
Chung has studied education reform and education
financing reform and the impact that education quality can have on property
values. Previously, Dr. Chung taught quantitative analysis at both Seoul
National University and Florida International University, and taught Statistics
and Public Budgeting courses at Syracuse University. He is currently an
Assistant Professor of Public Affairs at Baruch College.
