Biography
Sarah is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology. She is interested in poverty in both rural and urban areas, welfare policy, and political sociology. Sarah received her bachelor's in sociology from Central Connecticut State University in 2017 and her master's in sociology from Syracuse University in 2020. She is interested in studying the roles of community and private organizations in alleviating poverty and filling gaps created by state retrenchment. Sarah works with Professor Madonna Harrington Meyer.
