Sidney is the Computer & Communications Industry
Association’s Vice President of Public Policy where he engages on competition,
technology, intellectual property, internet, and telecommunications issues, and
represents the association through advocacy before the legislative, executive,
and judicial branches.
Before joining CCIA, Sidney served as Chief of Staff and
Chief Counsel and Legislative Director to two senior members of Congress for
over 12 years. Previously, he served as an attorney for the Department of
Commerce for nearly ten years where he practiced international trade remedies
law before the agency, federal courts, and international tribunals.
He has also served as an adjunct professor teaching various
subjects at area law schools and universities since 1999.
Sidney received his LL.M. in International Trade from
American University, Washington College of Law, obtained his J.D. from Howard
University School of Law, and received his B.A. from Vassar College.
