Greytak Fellowship

David Greytak Fellowship Fund for Doctoral Study in Economics

David Greytak, throughout a long and distinguished career as Professor of Economics at the Maxwell School, Syracuse University, inspired extraordinary devotion from his graduate students. To honor his memory, the Department of Economics created the David Greytak Fellowship for doctoral study in economics. The purpose of the award is to attract a student of outstanding Promise each year to the doctoral program in economics by augmenting the normal and modest financial aid with a Greytak Fellowship.

Our goal is to establish an endowment of $100,000, which would be sufficient to provide the award in David's name in perpetuity. Until we have accomplished this goal, the annual fellowship will be awarded as funds permit. The generosity and support of David Greytak's former students, friends, and colleagues will honor his life in a way that would be most meaningful to him-- helping students.

If you wish to discuss a contribution to the Greytak Fellowship, please contact the Maxwell School Office of Development or the Chair of the Department in Economics, at 315-443-3612, or the department staff.
