The Economics Department at Syracuse University seeks to fill
a tenure-track position at the Assistant level in urban economics. Candidates
must have completed (or expect to complete prior to appointment) a Ph.D. in
Economics. Preference will be given to individuals with research interests that
are centered in the urban area but with possible spillovers to global
perspectives and/or other areas of emphasis in the department, including public
economics, labor economics and econometrics. The ideal candidates for this
position are individuals who can provide guidance and advice to doctoral
