Please join Catherine Bertini on Friday, April 28th, for a series of panels featuring food security experts, alumni, Maxwell professors, and students that will highlight some of the issues to which she has dedicated her career.
Building on Bertini’s 10 years as the Executive Director of the World Food Programme (WFP), panels will focus on food security issues as they affect women and girls, short term crises such as the massive famines the world now faces, and how foreign policy objectives can be fashioned to make a difference.
Catherine Bertini is currently in her 12th and final year at the Maxwell School, where she teaches courses in Food Security, Humanitarian Action, Girls’ Education, and the United Nations. Before joining the Maxwell School, she served as the Under Secretary-General for Management at the United Nations following her tenure at the WFP.

Lunch will be served. RSVP to Oana Zabava oazabava@maxwell.syr.edu 315-443-9248
