The Department of Political Science presents a panel on “An Insurrection, an Inauguration, and Another Impeachment: Fragility, Resilience, and the Future of American Democracy.” The panel will discuss the bizarre and historic events surrounding the end of the Trump presidency and the beginning of the Biden administration–the trends that culminated in the invasion of the U.S. Capitol; the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump; and the Biden policy agenda for dealing with the ongoing pandemic and economic recession.This event is co-sponsored by the Campbell Public Affairs Institute.


The lecture will be moderated by Prof. Christopher Faricy (Political Science) and Panelists include Prof. Maraam Dwidar (Political Science), Katherine Michelmore (Public Administration and International Affairs), Margaret Thompson (History and Political Science), Mark Rupert (Political Science), and Steven White (Political Science).
