Executive Education is the Maxwell School’s home for fellowship programs and visiting scholars. These are fellowship programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and visiting scholars who take advantage of the robust and flexible academic environment
at the Maxwell School.
Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship
Maxwell has hosted Humphrey Fellows since 2009. They come to the Maxwell School to pursue studies and professional development in the areas of public policy, public administration, NGO management, IT policy, leadership and collaboration. The program is
sponsored and funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Humphrey Fellows Education.

Mandela Washington Fellowship
The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, begun in 2014, is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative that empowers young people through academic coursework, leadership training, and networking. Maxwell has hosted
Mandela Washington Fellows since its inception.

The Maxwell Visiting Scholars Program is non-credit study opportunity for highly qualified public and private sector officials from around the world. The program appeals to energetic individuals who enjoy studying in the interdisciplinary environment
of the Maxwell School. Fellows typically focus on topics to increase professional competence, broaden perspective on public policy issues, or conduct in-depth research.
