Execed Welcomes New Students - Spring 2014

Executive Education Program Welcomes Incoming Spring 2014 Students

Last week, the Executive Education program began the 2014 spring semester with Orientation for new students. The Orientation involved lunch and a word from Senior Associate Dean Mike Wasylenko, who welcomed the incoming students to the Maxwell School and Syracuse University. There are ten new students this spring hailing from Nigeria, India, South Korea and the U.S. The students will be working towards Executive Master of Public Administration degrees or Certificates of Advanced Study. They will join about 90 other EMPA, EMIR and CAS students who are currently enrolled at the Maxwell School.

Prior to joining the Executive Education family, these incoming students held various positions within institutions of higher education or within the public sector. Most are hoping to acquire leadership skills at the Maxwell School, along with a better understanding of the details of public administration. The new students wish to bring these skills back to their respective fields once they have completed their studies. We are excited to begin working with all of the incoming students, and we cannot wait to see what perspectives they will bring to our program!
