Humphrey Fellows speak at Onondaga Community College
Sania Battalova (Kyrgyzstan) and Humayun Bashir Tarar (Pakistan) were among panelists for Onondaga Community College’s discussion during its International Education Week series of presentations. The Humphrey Fellows were invited to speak at a moderated session entitled “Democratization of Information: Power, Peril, Promise.” Both Sania and Humayun spoke about their countries and the evolutionary process of how information is disseminated and democratized in their individual homelands. The Humphrey Fellows also attended the college’s kickoff to International Education Week, the 2011 Central New York International Citizen Awards Dinner, sponsored by the International Center of Syracuse.
