Maxwell School announces 3 year partnership with Indian Forest Service

Phase V

Maxwell School announced a new three-year partnership with the Indian Forest Service to train officers at the Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) and Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF) level.  The officers participating in the program will have approximately 24+ years of experience and fill some of the highest levels within the Indian Forest Service.

The IFS Phase V program will focus on developing the officers’ understanding of the changing scene for environmental policy making and implementation internationally and domestically – with a focus on developing leadership and management skills to help them implement these changes.

This program is jointly run by the Maxwell School and IIM Bangalore, with additional assistance from SUNY Environmental Science & Forestry and the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia.  SUNY ESF, one of the top ranked Environmental Science and Forestry colleges in the U.S., is assisting Maxwell with the U.S. study tour and the Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia is assisting with the Canadian study tour.
