Regional Executive Education Alumni Attend Inaugural Event
The Syracuse Center of Excellence (CoE) was the site of Executive Education’s first-ever alumni gathering in April. Almost two dozen alumni from the Central New York region attended the event. Location host was Mark Lichtenstein, ’05 MA (PA), who is the Executive Director of CoE’s Center for Sustainable Community Solutions.
Featured speaker was Catherine Gerard, Associate Director of Executive Education and Director of PARCC, the Program for the Advancement of Research on Conflict and Collaboration. In addition to explaining CoE’s mission, Mark led a tour of the LEED-platinum building. Alumni also had a chance to catch up with each other and Assistant Director Margaret Lane and Graduate Coordinator Tammy Salisbury.
Executive Education hopes to make this an annual local event and has its sights set on both national and international events in the future. These events are a wonderful way to maintain the feeling of community students experience while in Maxwell’s Executive Education program and build upon those connections.
These events dovetail with the newly-designed News & Views, Executive Education Degree Program’s newsletter, designed to help alumni stay in touch with both Executive Education and, more importantly, each other.
