Ms. Thiri Maung Maung was most recently the Head of Branch I/Second Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Myanmar. There, she is in charge for trainings that are jointly conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other international institutions. Her responsibilities include preparing courses and curriculum, and analyzing and researching contemporary international issues. She also occasionally serves as an interpreter for the Yangon Region Chief Minister and other high-ranking officials. She hopes to learn all aspects of Human Resources Development and its practical application in the diplomatic profession. She has a diploma in International Relations from the University of Yangon, Myanmar and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
