The EMIR prepares leaders and managers for the challenges and opportunities leading organizations in the global arena. The degree attracts professionals who wish to gain experience in one of six career tracks: Global Markets; Global Development; Foreign Policy; Negotiation and Conflict Resolution; Global Security or Transnational Organizations and Leadership. Additionally, a regional focus in one of five geographic regions is required: Africa; Asia; Europe; Latin America and the Middle East.
The 30-credit EMIR can be completed in one calendar year or on a part-time basis depending on the needs of the schedule and career demands of the student. A Certificate of Advanced Study can also be pursued concurrently in a myriad of disciplines. A dual degree in EMIR and Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) is also an option.
