The Maxwell School Welcomes the 2017 - 2018 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellows of Syracuse University
Executive Education welcomes the ninth cohort of Hubert
H. Humphrey Fellows, who are spending the 2017-2018 year at the Maxwell School in
graduate academic study, professional development, networking and cultural
exchange. The twelve fellows are mid-career professionals from emerging
democracies and developing countries and among the more than 150 scholars selected
for this prestigious Fellowship. The
Humphrey Fellowship program is sponsored and funded by the U.S. Department of
State and administered by the Institute of International Education.
The 2017-2018 Humphrey Fellowship Program consists of 150+
Fellows from 97 countries hosted by 13 U.S. universities. The Maxwell School
has hosted 100 fellows from more than 62 countries since 2009.
This year’s fellows hail from: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan,
Bangladesh, Cameroon, Guinea, Haiti, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Macedonia,
Philippines, and Sri Lanka. Their diverse professional experience and academic
interests include: NGO management; international development, anti-corruption,
policymaking and analysis; IT policy and management; legislative research;
human resource management; and collaborative governance.
