Geographer and environmental studies scholar Nicholas Howe (Environmental Studies, Williams College) will speak on the topic  “Sacred Landscape, Secular Law: Storying Spirituality on American Public Lands.” Howe will will explore how stories about sacred space shape conflicts over iconic American wilderness areas.
