Jessie Speer-s

I am a human geographer working at the intersection of urban studies and feminist political economy. I examine how property markets and ideologies of domesticity shape patterns of housing displacement and homelessness in the United States. My research and teaching interests include urban and cultural geography, American studies, feminist and postcolonial theory, and qualitative methodologies. I am currently working as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Geography at Queen Mary University of London.
