The Library of Congress invites qualified scholars to conduct research in the John W. Kluge Center using the Library of Congress collections and resources. The Kluge Center especially encourages humanistic and social science research that makes use of the Library's large and varied collections. Interdisciplinary, cross-cultural, or multi-lingual research is particularly welcome.
Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation - Faculty Research Grants
Faculty Research Grants sponsor current faculty to conduct research in Ras Al Khaimah and the United Arab Emirates as part of a sabbatical leave. The grant includes return economy airfares, in-country accommodation, per diem, and research support. Depending on the project, additional funding may be allocated to cover actual expenses of the research.

An Institute of Current World Affairs (ICWA) Fellowship represents a generous investment in the future of a Fellow. The ultimate aim of the ICWA Fellowship program is to cultivate deep expertise in foreign countries and cultures. The ICWA achieves this by supporting a Fellow over a two year period, during which she or he carries out an immersive program of self-designed, independent study abroad.
University of Oklahoma - Carl Albert Center - Visiting Scholars Program
The Carl Albert Center accepts applications on a rolling basis for its Visiting Scholars Research Grant Program. The grant provides funding for on-site research in the Congressional Collections to support the creation of monographs, journal articles, books, theses, and dissertations. Primary emphasis is placed on research proposals centered on the U.S. Congress and its members, but given the wide-ranging subject matter of the archival holdings at the Center, other topics will be considered.

The program affords fellows the opportunity to broaden their perspective of foreign affairs and to pursue proposed research, with a placement at either CFR or another institution in New York City or Washington, DC.
International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS) - Fellowships
The position of International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS) affiliated fellow is intended for outstanding researchers from around the world, to work on an important aspect of Asian studies research in the social sciences and humanities. Interdisciplinary interests are encouraged. The IIAS also welcome researchers who would like to work on a collaborative grant proposal or develop their PhD thesis into a book publication.
European University Institute (EUI) - Fernand Braudel Senior Fellowships
The fellowships provide a framework for established academics with an international reputation to pursue their research at the European University Institute (EUI). Fellowships take place in one of the EUI's four Departments which in turn invite fellows to participate in departmental activities (seminars, workshops, colloquia, etc.). Fellows are encouraged to make contact with researchers sharing their academic interests, may be involved in the teaching and thesis supervision tasks of EUI professors, and associated with one of the research projects being carried out at the EUI.
