The Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University is pleased to announce the competition for the An Wang Postdoctoral Fellowships in Chinese Studies. Research topics may cover any period of Chinese history or contemporary China and involve any academic discipline. A strong working knowledge of Chinese and English is required. Each fellow will be expected to pursue his or her own research and contribute to Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies programs.

The Council for European Studies (CES) invites eligible graduate students in the humanities to apply for the 2017 Mellon-CES Dissertation Completion Fellowships in European Studies. Winners of the Mellon-CES Dissertation Completion Fellowships will also be expected to participate in a number of activities organized by the Council for European Studies, which are designed to support early career development.
School for Advanced Research (SAR) - Resident Scholar Fellowships - Weatherhead Fellowships
Two nine-month residential fellowships are available for scholars working in the humanities or social sciences. Scholars with doctorates who plan to write their books and PhD candidates who plan to write their dissertations are eligible. This fellowship is made possible through the generous support of the Weatherhead Foundation.
Library Company of Philadelphia (LCP) - Short-Term Fellowships
The Library Company of Philadelphia and The Historical Society of Pennsylvania will jointly award approximately twenty-five one-month fellowships for research in residence in either or both collections during the academic year 2018-2019. These two independent research libraries, adjacent to each other in Center City Philadelphia, have complementary collections capable of supporting research in a variety of fields and disciplines relating to the history of America and the Atlantic world from the 17th through the 19th centuries, as well as Mid-Atlantic regional history to the present.

The National Academy of Education/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship Program supports early career scholars working in critical areas of education research. This non-residential postdoctoral fellowship funds proposals that make significant scholarly contributions to the field of education. The program also develops the careers of its recipients through professional development activities involving National Academy of Education members.
European University Institute (EUI) - Jean Monnet Postdoctoral Fellowships
The Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSCAS) offers one-year Jean Monnet Fellowships to scholars who have obtained their doctorate more than five years prior to the start of the fellowship. Jean Monnet Fellows are selected on the basis of a research proposal and of their CV. The research proposal should fit well with one of the Centre’s main research themes, programmes and projects. The three main research themes of the RSCAS are: 1) Integration, Governance and Democracy; 2) Regulating Markets and Governing Money; and 3) 21st Century World Politics and Europe.
