This year’s recipient is Adriana Jude Curto. She is combining her major in International Relations with a major in Citizenship & Civic Engagement. Adriana joined the International Relations Learning Community in her first year at Syracuse.  Her topic concentration for International Relations is Intercultural Communication, and her geographic region concentration is Middle East/North Africa. She has studied 3 languages -- Italian, Arabic, and Turkish -- and she studied abroad in Israel in Summer 2014 and in Istanbul in both Fall 2014 and Summer 2015.  She also participated in our Maxwell-in-Washington International Relations semester where she interned in the College of International Security Affairs at National Defense University and was a member of the Fall 2015 Model United Nations Team representing the Republic of India at the National MUN conference in Washington, DC.  Her senior capstone project examines cultural diplomacy and reconciliation efforts in Middle East conflict zones. Adriana was the 2015 recipient of the Matthew Wanetik Memorial Scholarship Award.
