Glynda Bathan

Deputy Executive Director of Clean Air Asia
As current Deputy Executive Director of Clean Air Asia, Glynda spearheads efforts in partnership building, knowledge sharing, project development and implementation.  Glynda is a lawyer with more than 16 years of experience in both the legal and environment sectors. She provides legal advice to countries in the drafting of laws and regulations. A lawyer by profession with an environmental management degree, she was instrumental in the process of incorporating the Clean Air Asia Center as an NGO in 2007. She was a member of the team of consultants which assisted the Philippine government in drafting the implementing rules and regulations of the Philippine Clean Air Act. Glynda helps steer programs for the eight country networks of Clean Air Asia in China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam; as well as manages a 250-member partnership with local and international organizations. Glynda holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco in partnership with the Ateneo de Manila University; a Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Philippines, and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Accounting from the University of San Carlos, Cebu, Philippines.
