Jacob Mundy is an Associate Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Colgate University where he also contributes to Middle Eastern and African Studies. His research examines armed conflicts and foreign interventions in northern Africa. His books include Western Sahara: War, Nationalism, and Conflict Irresolution (Syracuse University Press 2010) coauthored with Stephen Zunes, The Post conflict Environment (University of Michigan Press 2014) coedited with Dan Monk, and  Imaginative Geographies of Algerian Violence (Stanford University Press 2015). He is currently finishing a manuscript for Polity Press on Libya since the Arab Spring. He has conducted field research in Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Western Sahara.
