Central Asia and the Caucasus (CAC) Research Group K-12 Outreach
The CAC Outreach program is on hold for AY 2020-21 due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Central Asia and the Caucasus Research Group of Syracuse University is available to provide Central New York K-12 students with a first-hand look at the countries in the Central Asia and the Caucasus region. In the form of
short presentations and lessons covering topics about food, artwork, language, history, dance and music, students will have the opportunity to learn about those countries and cultures and receive direct exposure to a global society. The goal of the
program is to give students a more tangible cultural experience and help them learn about a country in which they might not otherwise have an interest.
Countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan
If you want to benefit from this outreach program, please email Havva Karakas Keles, Regional Programs Coordinator, Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs, at hkarakas@maxwell.syr.edu.
