    Syracuse University's Center for European Studies (CES), hosted at the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs at the Maxwell School, promotes interdisciplinary research and study of Europe. CES advances the study of European politics, history, economy, culture, and languages in collaboration with academic programs, professional schools, language programs, and research centers across campus and Syracuse University's study abroad centers. CES fulfills its mission through seminars, conferences, speaker series, language tables, and research grants. CES also provides leadership in building transatlantic and global networks via its international partnerships, collaborative projects, and programs.

    Khalil featured in SU News story on U.S. and Middle East after 9/11

    Osamah Khalil, assistant professor of U.S. and Middle East history, was featured in the SU News article, "Q&A: The U.S. and the Middle East: 15 Years after 9/11."


    South Asia Center receives major grant

    The South Asia Center has been awarded a $1.3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The grant renews the center’s designation as a National Resource Center and provides funding for graduate and undergraduate students, course development, Hindi language training, among others.     South Asia Center co-hosts Sun’s Ray Smith Symposium

    Transformations in South Asian Folk Arts, Aesthetics, and Commodities,” which runs Feb. 27 to March 1 in various locations on campus, will feature more than a dozen artists and scholars from  around the world participating in lectures, discussions, workshops, and exhibitions.
