Undergraduate RA
Fellowships
To support research
collaborations between MESP faculty and undergraduate students, the program
will award two Undergraduate RA Fellowships for the current academic year ($
1,000, each). The fellowship will be awarded to faculty who work on MES-related
(broadly defined) research projects to hire undergraduate students to work as
RAs on the project. Interested faculty should submit their applications by February 10, 2020. The application consists of an email by the faculty that
briefly describes the research project and job description for the RA to be
hired. If the student is already known, please include his/her CV and a
transcript. Funding decisions will be made by February 17, 2020. Funds should
be used by May 15, 2020. At the end of the project, RAs will be required to
submit to the MESP a one-page report explaining what they have learned, and how
their involvement in the project have affected their knowledge and
understanding of the
political/cultural/religious/historical/artistic/linguistic facets of the MENA
region. Students need not be MES majors or minors but should have a minimum GPA
of 3.2.
