Description

This film is about the Training and Visit System, a program that trains farmers in India to use new farming methods. Under the program, government employees called "extension agents," who are specialists in agriculture, are assigned to a particular area and learn about farming conditions there. They meet regularly with farmers in the area to teach them about techniques that will help them increase their output and to encourage them to try the new farming techniques and continue using them. Every two weeks, the agents meet together to talk about their experiences and receive further training. ID:SA3
