Summer 2018 - SAC Interns

In the summer of 2017, Haley Knapp completed a month-long internship in New York City with Folk Arts Rajasthan (FAR), a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose efforts focus on eradicating illiteracy, fostering community development and celebrating cultural understanding through education and music preservation. FAR works with the Merasi, a marginalized community of northwestern Rajasthan (India), who carry a unique musical legacy more than 800 years old. While work- ing with FAR, Haley helped organize the endless intricacies of various media into an archiving system for the organization’s Musical Narrative Project. Haley graduated in May 2018 and will be starting graduate school at Johns Hopkins University in the Fall. She will be joining AAP Film and Media MA program, with a primary concentration in sound. While completing her degree, she will be working at the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus as a Special Events Coordinator with their Scheduling and Event Services department!
