JJPicJonathan Jennings

Jonathan Jennings currently serves as Deputy Executive Director of MSF Canada in Toronto. He oversees the representational, operational and financial health of a uniquely ambitious non-profit organization. Jonathan joined MSF in 2005, worked long term in South Sudan, then on short missions to Ethiopia, India, DRC, north Uganda, Liberia and elsewhere. Prior to MSF, Jonathan lived and volunteered in conflict-affected Kosovo and worked with Save the Children.

AKPicAlex Katz

Alex Katz is Patagonia’s Manager of Social Responsibility. He leads a team of 3 people in implementing the company’s social responsibility strategy. Responsibilities include ensuring that the company’s Workplace Code of Conduct is respected by all finished good suppliers, developing annual and long term social responsibility strategies, managing the company’s Fair Labor Association Accreditation, representing the social responsibility team at cross-departmental supply chain meetings, and working on improving or developing the programs used to advance the lives of people involved in making Patagonia product.

DKPicDave Karpf

Dave Karpf is associate professor and director of graduate studies at the George Washington University School of Media & Public Affairs. His primary research focus is on how the internet is changing civil society organizations and large-scale movements for political change. He is the author of The MoveOn Effect: The Unexpected Transformation of American Political Advocacy (Oxford University Press, 2012) and Analytic Activism: Digital Listening and the New Political Strategy (Oxford University Press, 2016).
