Young TNGOs Leaders Share Their Unique Perspectives

 Permanent link   All Posts

The TNGO Iniative and Student Group had guest speakers, Maxwell student Clint Misamore and Pan-African Studies student David Mwambari, share their perspectives on setting up and managing a transnational NGO.  Mwambari, a native of Rwanda, and Misamore are co-founders of Sanejo, a relatively new TNGO with a mission support communities transitioning from war to peace or facing abject poverty, through the promotion of education.

Despite the blizzard Syracuse received on February 25, 2010, nine students joined David and Clint for a stimulating discussion covering a wide range of issues facing the NGO sector, from financing projects to structuring the governance structure of the organization.  If you would like to learn more about Sanejo, visit http://www.sanejo.org.

Due to the great quality of the discussion, we have scheduled a follow-up presentation and discussion for Tuesday, April 13th, 12:00-2:00.  We'll send out more details as they become available.  For an overview of Clint and David's presentation, check out their powerpoint:  TNGO Workshop: Sanejo Presentation.
