Remembrance Scholars 2016

In total, 35 Syracuse University students were celebrated at a convocation, memorializing those lost in the bombing of Pan Am 103.

Sixteen seniors majoring in Maxwell School disciplines were among the 35 Syracuse University students honored as 2016-17 Remembrance Scholars during a convocation on October 28 in Hendricks Chapel.

The Remembrance Scholarships, among the most prestigious scholarships awarded by Syracuse University, were founded as a tribute to the 270 people, including 35 Syracuse University students studying abroad through SU, who were killed in the December 21, 1988, bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
