Purser, Ortiz Valdez release report on treatment of dairy farmworkers
Gretchen Purser and Fabiola Ortiz Valdez, a PhD candidate in anthropology at Maxwell, co-authored a report, "Milked: Dairy Farmworkers in New York," that was released on June 1, 2017, the start of National Dairy Month. The report looks at the treatment and working conditions of immigrant laborers who work in milking parlors and barns in New York State.
