Ekin Senlet ’08 J.D./M.A. (IR) has been elected a partner of Barclay Damon. She focuses on regulatory issues in the energy industry across New York state.

As an advisory board member, Peter O’Neil ’91 B.A. (IR) will help guide Mission 500 and help the charity extend both its message and its ability to fulfill its mission. Founded in 2016, Mission 500 works closely with partners across the security industry in order to encourage corporate social responsibility.

Maria Isquierdo ’90 M.P.A. has been named the chief human resources officer at Bryan Health, a regional nonprofit healthcare system operating throughout Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri. In her new role, Isquierdo will lead employee recruitment and retention across the Bryan Health system.

In this new position, Michael Bucci ’95 M.P.A. is responsible for developing communications strategies serving the organizational interests of his clients.

In his new role, Artyom Perevedentsev ’10 M.A. (Econ), will focus on expanding hotel investment opportunities into cross-border and other alternative markets.

Rigaud Noel ’04 B.A. (PSc) has been appointed chief partnership officer by New York Edge, an after-school programming provider working across New York City’s metropolitan region.  In this expanded role, he will serve as part of the organization’s executive leadership team and help guide its efforts to build and grow partnerships, to help increase funding for after-school programming, and to increase private and grant-supported development revenue.

Iron Mountain stores and protects billions of assets, ranging from highly sensitive data to cultural and historical artifacts in more than 1,450 facilities around the world. They designated Barry Hytinen ’97 B.A. (PSc) as an executive vice president and the chief financial officer, who brings over two decades of corporate finance experience.

Rhoda Rossman ’82 M.P.A. has been appointed to the California Catastrophe Response Council by Governor Gavin Newsom. The council is responsible for overseeing the California Wildfire Fund, which contains $20 billion in capital liquidity earmarked for paying uninsured destruction due to wildfire damage.

The  John L. and Stephanie G. Palmer Public Administration Fellowship Fund was recently created by Dean Emeritus John L. Palmer and his wife Stephanie in order to provide financial support and mentoring to a select group of M.P.A. students each year. Katherine Gibson and Haley Smith are pursuing their studies this year as its first-ever beneficiaries.

Andrew Schwab ‘03 B.A. (Hist/PSt) was named the senior manager of policy and federal affairs at the United States of Care. In his new role, Schwab will focus on expanding the organization's footprint among federal policy makers in both the legislative and executive branches. 

Emily Ruddock ‘13 M.P.A. was named the executive director of MASSCreative, a Boston-based nonprofit involved in statewide advocacy for creative communities. She is responsible for leading the full breadth of the organization’s efforts to increase the funding and perceived value of art, culture, and creativity.

Colliers International, a real estate services and investment management company, hired Alec Hillmeyer ’18 B.A. (Econ) as a retail division associate. Previoiusly, Hillmeyer was vice president at Social Movement Media, a full-service digital marketing agency. 

Prior to joining the faculty at Virginia Tech, Stephanie Smith '09 Ph.D. (PA) was an associate professor at the University of New Mexico. She has also worked in the nonprofit sector in San Francisco and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Vladivostok, Russia, prior to her return to academia.

In his new position as public engagement manager for the City of Menlo Park, California, Clay Curtin '06 M.P.A. will be responsible for implementing a pilot program to increase community engagement. This role, which was newly created for Curtin, is meant to help unite members of the community and community groups directly with city commissions. 

In her new role, Honora Spillane '09 J.D./M.P.A. will work on CenterState CEO’s business development portfolio. CenterState CEO is a nonprofit based in Syracuse that focuses on connecting businesses across Central and Northern New York.

Lei Duan ‘13 M.A. (Hist)/’17 Ph.D. (Hist) has accepted a position as a lecturer in the School of Historical, Philosophical, and Religious Studies at Arizona State University.
