Congress in Crisis: An Event
in Washington with Tom Davis and Martin Frost
Join former
Congressmen Tom Davis (R-VA) and Martin Frost (D-TX) for an April 16 discussion
on political dysfunction in Congress, which is the subject of their new
book. The talk is free and open to the public and the media; it
is sponsored by the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at
Syracuse University.
Davis'
and Frost's total congressional service tops 40 years, and each served two
terms chairing his respective party campaign committee. Now they have
joined forces in a different fight — the battle to
save Congress from itself. The Partisan Divide:
Congress in Crisis is their roadmap for
fixing America’s broken political system and the resulting legislative logjam.
Their discussion of issues raised in The
Partisan Divide will be moderated by Grant Reeher, professor
of political science at the Maxwell School and director of the Campbell Public
Affairs Institute.
The
event will be held at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, 1616
Rhode Island Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Doors open at 5 pm, ant the
program begins at 5:30 pm. A reception will follow. To register and learn more about this event
