Elman writes on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process for the Jewish Observer
Miriam F. Elman, associate professor of political science, published an article (co-written with Syracuse community members Minna Buck and Mark Field) in the Jewish Observer on the recently renewed Middle East peace negotiations. Elman praised Secretary of State John Kerry for providing new opportunities for peace and argued that it is imperative that Israel and the Palestinians forge a just and lasting peace. The Jewish Observer is a bi-monthly newspaper distributed throughout the northern and central New York region. Elman's essay was the first article featured in a new "Viewpoints" column that aims to offer readers a diverse set of opinions and perspectives on topics related to Israel and the Middle East.
