Gadarian coauthors study on genetic research
A new public opinion study co-authored by Shana Gadarian, assistant
professor of political science, concludes that Americans show widespread
support for federal funding of genetic research, laws protecting citizens
against genetic discrimination, and the need to involve medical professionals
in the process of genetic testing. The study, published by Genetics in
Medicine, the official publication of the American College of Medical
Genetics and Genomics, analyzes a poll of 2100 Americans that examines public
opinion on major issues in genetics and genomics. For more information: http://news.yale.edu/2013/11/07/study-finds-americans-want-clinicians-guidance-genetic-test-results 11/21/13
