Housing Issues in the 21st Century conference featured in Public Finance Review
A special issue of the Public Finance Review, entitled Housing
Markets, Housing Finance, and Local Public Finances features a selection
of papers presented at the Maxwell Research Symposium "Housing Issues
in the 21st Century," held at Syracuse University in September 2012,
organized by James Follain and Jan Ondrich, and sponsored by Maxwell's Center for
Policy Research. These articles identified the wide-ranging and substantial
impacts of housing finance and housing markets, especially their effects on the
public finances of local governments. Jan Ondrich and Alexander Falevich wrote
the chapter article “The Great Recession, Housing Wealth, and the Retirement
Decisions of Older Workers.” 02/02/16
