Joseph StrasserMaxwell alum Joseph Strasser, '53 BA (Hist)/'58 MPA, is featured in the Jacksonville.com article, "Jacksonville man was among children rescued from threat of Nazi persecution by American couple." He is a generous supporter of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and its public events room was rededicated in 2015 as the Dr. Paul and Natalie Strasser Legacy Room in honor of his parents. Joseph is also interviewed in the PBS documentary "Defying the Nazis: The Sharps' War," about his journey on a rescue ship that arrived in New York in December 1940, the result of a relief effort by Martha Sharp. The documentary airs on September 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET. 09/19/16
